British and Ireland Lions vs Argentina: Pumas wins 28-24 in Dublin

Argentina beat the British and Irish Lions for the first time on Friday, winning a 28-24 warm-up game at Aviva Stadium, and did a lot as Coach Andy Farrell is ready to leave for Australia.

Just like they last met in a 25-25 draw before the 2005 tour, Pumas had a lion on the ropes thanks to trys from both sides of Bundy Aki, who gave a 21-10 halftime lead from a try from Ignacio Mendi and Thomas Albornos.

The Lions had played almost half of the panel due to recent club commitments and injuries, but were another animal early in the second half, regaining the lead after a penalty try and another home crowd score.

However, Santiago Carreras reverted Argentina to a play run with another great team try, and the error-scattered Lions were unable to leave five more games left to set things up just before their first test against the Wallabies on July 19th.
