British and Ireland’s Lions coach Andy Farrell made two changes to the third and final tests and Australia’s starting side in the game where tourists decide whether to leave with a 3-0 whitewash.
Ireland’s Rock James Ryan will partner captain Maroithje in the second row of Sydney’s Acole Stadium on Saturday, but Scotland’s Blair Kinghorn has been appointed in place of left-winger Mac Hansen.
“We have placed ourselves in a great position to complete this tour to finish with the best performance ever and create our own history,” Farrell said.
“Last weekend’s Test match in Melbourne was an incredible sight, showing just how special the special Lions Tour is and what it means for both players and supporters.
“I look forward to another epic battle this weekend with the Wallabies side, who showed their quality last week.”
Chessum falls on the bench. Ben-Ahl comes in as a back row cover alongside Jac Morgan. Farrell chooses a 6-2 split in favor of the forward, which is predicted to be a wet weather test.
The starting backrow and half-back pairing remain the same for the third consecutive match, but Irish Prop Tadge Furlong will begin their ninth Lions Test in the front row.
