The 2025 campaign for the British and Ireland Lions began in earnest with Andy Farrell’s side taking over the Western troops in Perth.
This is the first match of five tour matches before the first Test against the Wallabies in Brisbane on July 19th.
Farrell made 13 changes to the XV, which was defeated by Dublin’s Argentina last week. Tadig Bailne and Sione Tuyprotou are the only ones to run around and back up.
Scottish fly half Finn Russell will be in the box seat to begin his tests, but 20-year-old British Volter Henry Pollock will start in eighth place. Danceehan of Ireland wins the honor of captain.
There are many lines here. After last Friday’s defeat, the Lions are under pressure to break the ducks and find victory momentum.
But the lion is expected to do just that. As ESPN’s Sam Bruce wrote this week, the matchup is intended to be one of the softest schedules on the Lions’ schedule, with more challenging tasks against the Queensland Reds, ACT Brumbies and Aunz Invitational teams.
Can the Lions find their first victory in the summer?
