Refreshed, Blues Brown looked back at his time away from the Denver Nuggets and how he felt with the other teams.
The Denver Nuggets did not fully describe themselves in the preseason opening game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Despite the Timberwolves’ absence of Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, the Nuggets were unable to get the job done with full strength.
David Adelman was unhappy with the Nuggets for not taking advantage of their opportunities during the game.
It could be as frustrating as it was the night for the Nuggets, so it reminded me of Bruce Brown, who recently returned to how difficult his career was after leaving the team in 2023.
Bruce Brown spoke to reporters after returning to the Denver Nuggets. When discussing his performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, he admitted that he was a bit off.
After leaving the Nuggets in 2023, Brown hadn’t had much opportunity to carry the ball with other teams, so having to take responsibility for it caught him off guard again.
“I felt better. It was a bit rusty… I was exhausted. I hadn’t lifted the ball in two years so I was dead. It would take time to just go back and adapt to it.
“But I’m fine… I was on the team (ball) and didn’t even touch some of the possessions.
The Nuggets didn’t perform well in their first preseason game. But they are fortunate that the problems they have are exposed very quickly.
Knowing about playstyle issues in preseason is a great gift as the coaching staff and front office can make the necessary changes to fix these issues.
Now, David Adelman is with David Adelman to eradicate these concerns and make sure the Nuggets are playing their best basketball at the start of the regular season.
The first step to fixing these issues will likely limit mistakes in the upcoming preseason game against the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
