One-time Grand Prix champion and current British superbike star Danny Kent won both open invitation races at the Go Classic Bike Festival in Northern Ireland.
Competing for the MCAMS Yamaha team at BSB, Kent traveled to the county’s Bishops Court Racing Circuit last weekend to attend an open invitation event.
The former Grand Prix rider, who won the Moto3 title in 2015, won the opening Superbike contest last Sunday.
He defeated Ulster Superbike champion Johnny Campbell in just over three seconds in mixed conditions.
However, Kent was forced to fight back in his second race after inadequate release.
Despite the error, Kent was still able to escape with victory.
He backed it up in the second race in another race. This time I backed up in a more dominant way in almost 8 seconds than Campbell.
Kent was not the BSB star active at Bishop’s Court last weekend.
Storm Stacey won the double last ram in the superbike race and won the second Supersport Contest for Race 1 winner Richard Cooper.
BSB champion Kyle Ryde also attended the event, winning three GP250 contests at the Yamaha TZ250.
Ryde set up a new lap record in the process of a two-stroke bike.
All three will return to race action at Thruxton this weekend for the sixth round of the 2025 British Superbike Championship.
Ryde is currently second in the OMG race Yamaha with 188 points.
Kent is fifth in points for MCAMS Yamaha of 118, and Stacey is only among the top 10 of Batams BMW’s 80 points.
