Miles Turner was talking about town during the offseason following his decision to leave the Indiana Pacers.
Heading into the 2025-26 NBA season, Miles Turner will be wearing a non-Indiana Pacers jersey for the first time in his career.
Turner surprised fans when he joined the Milwaukee Bucks. Turner’s arrival is undoubtedly one of the Bucks’ biggest changes.
But what does Turner think about the Pacers? The franchise he spent 10 years.
Turner enjoyed some great spells with Pacer, including the 2025 NBA Finals run. However, since leaving the team, the veteran center has focused solely on the Bucks.
That’s nothing wrong, as Turner is naturally excited to share the court with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
But do you have to come at the expense of burning the bridge with his previous team? Well, it seemed Turner went that path during the Bucks Media Day.
“I’m embracing change, I’m embracing this cool part of my career. I’m heading for my prime. I’m in a city that I want to celebrate.
There’s a great quote saying, “I’ll go to the place where you’re celebrated.” I feel that’s here.
It felt like Turner was calling for the Pacers for not celebrating him during his 10-year tenure with the organization.
As expected, Turner’s statement went viral on X. Therefore, the 29-year-old had to clean the air with explanations.
“This quote has nothing to do with Indy fans, it has something to do with my experience with my free agency,” Turner tweeted.
Well, two things can be true at the same time. Don’t forget that this was the first time Turner has tested free agency.
But as the Veteran Center pointed out, he wasn’t going to dig into his previous team. Instead, he was explaining the reasons behind his decision to sign with the Bucks.
