After the Golden State Warriors won Game 1, Buddy Heald and Jimmy Butler engaged in a hilarious exchange.
Jimmy Butler made headlines during the regular season after publicly requesting a deal from the Miami Heat.
Butler went as far as he said he lost his “joy” to play basketball when he was in Miami. Clearly, Butler was accused of heavy fines by the organization.
Butler moved forward now to help the Dubs register a solid Game 1 victory for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference semi-finals.
It didn’t take long for Butler to form a good bond with his Warriors teammate. Jimmy appears to be in good relationships with all the players, but he soon formed a hilarious friendship with Buddy Heald.
Butler and Haild regularly engage in hilarious jokes, showing that their bond is stronger than ever.
With that in mind, Hield took his freedom to answer questions aimed at Butler during the meeting one game after the game.
“We certainly had to do, he regained his joy. Somehow he lost his ‘joy’. I’m not going to say where he lost his ‘joy’, but somehow he lost his ‘joy’,” Hield said.
Butler replied: “Why are you continuing this (Ayre’s quote)? Do you even know what these are called? What are they called?”
“Two fingers,” Hield responded, and Butler laughed.
In a game in which the Warriors lost Stephen Curry early due to a hamstring injury, the organization still managed to leave with a solid victory.
Butler’s performance contributed to the Warriors’ Game 1 victory as the six-fold NBA All-Star contributed 20 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Jimmy shot just 35.0% off the field, but the Warriors spent a night of shooting and lost and won anytime.
Following his Game 1 performance against the Timberwolves, Butler averaged 18.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game in the 2025 playoffs.
