The Golden State Warriors faced the Minnesota Timber Wolves 97-102 and fell to a 1-2 series deficit.
Coach Steve Kerr desperately shuffled responsibility among the available players as Stephen Curry was sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Buddy Hield is one of the players who need to fill Curry’s role as he has become the main three-point shooter for the Warriors in Game 3.
In Game 3, Hield managed a 4-8 four-quarter shooting beyond the ARC, finishing with 14 points and five assists. However, these numbers are pale compared to typical curry productions.
Entering the position of point guard, Brandin Poziemsky struggled violently with just five points on the night of Akistomal’s 10% filming.
After the game, Hield dealt with an immeasurable challenge honestly. “No one can cover Steph, there’s no pressure,” he told reporters. “You come and think you have to come and meet his role. You’re crazy because he’s doing so much for this team.”
Hield also mentioned how the Warriors miss Curry’s special skills and his ability to dominate the game. He is especially overlooked as a leader in both scoring points in court.
Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Cuminga both combined 63 points, but the Warriors still lost.
“Trust me, everyone wants to do it, but he is touched by an angel. He is touched by God. He is blessed. He is Steph Curry,” Hield added, highlighting the irreplaceable talent of the four-time champion.
Despite being on the sidelines, Curry is actively involved with the team and provides guidance from the bench throughout the game. Hield revealed that he frequently consults with Superstar Shooters during the game.
“He’s always supportive and always talking to guys. I’m always asking him questions, how can I open up,” Hield explained.
With Curry’s stats still uncertain and likely to miss Game 4, the Warriors put pressure on the burgeoning Timberwolves to not fall into the 3-1 hole.
Carr’s teams must quickly find alternative scoring solutions. Or maybe playoff hopes fade before the injured superstar returns.
