Buddy Heald led the Warriors by scoring with 33 points in Game 7 and didn’t miss the opportunity to troll Jimmy Butler after the game.
The Golden State Warriors pulled out a big 103-89 victory over the Houston Rockets and advanced to the next round of the NBA playoffs.
Fans believe in Golden State after a big victory. There is high hopes that Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Company will be able to do this postseason.
But it wasn’t one of the superstars who made the biggest splash in Game 7. Buddy Hield poured 33 points and broke the game with Dagger 3, which sent the Rocket home.
Hield has been trawled infinitely by Butler since he was bought. So he didn’t miss out on the opportunity to return to the Warriors star.
Since he arrived, Jimmy has been talking about being Steph’s Batman Robin. Hield himself joked about being Alfred after Game 3 of the first round series.
In the decisive game 7, Butler scored 20 points. This was pale compared to the electric performance of Buddy, who saw him make nine three pointers.
So, as the 35-year-old superstar was about to start a post-game press conference, the man at that moment hilariously interrupted him.
Standing in front of the media, Hield continued, “Please tell me you’re not Robin anymore.” Jimmy shook his head and said, “Buddy, buddy…”
But he couldn’t stop laughing, as the former Pacers guy added, “You’re Alfred.”
This joke between two Warriors players is a great indication of the team’s chemistry. Deep Postseason runs are built on similar dynamics.
And while some may feel bad for the six-time NBA All-Star after Hield trolled him, he didn’t miss a chance to dig into either.
When asked if Buddy had received praise after Game 7, Jimmy said, “There are no comments. I’ll sue the fifth.”
Golden State will need both of these stars to play at the highest level if they want to pass the Minnesota Timberwolves in the next round.
This friendly rivalry continues to entertain fans as well, but the hope is that they can use it as a motivator to achieve individual and team success.
