Yannick Bahati went on top of the record book on Friday at one of the world’s longest MMA promotions, but it wasn’t without controversy.
At Cage Warriors 186, originally from Indigo in O2, London, Bahti (10-7-1) took just four seconds to complete Charles Joyner (4-2-1). However, the punch came after the next moment came after the pair seemed to start touching the gloves.
Nonetheless, Bahati was overjoyed and the organization announced that the suspension would set a new mark for the fastest knockout in the company’s history.

Fans did not shower Bahati with the praise that would be expected after such a lightning knockout. His response to his victory online was filled with intense criticism of the “dirty” opening gloves touch.
Bahati left with victory, but it is still unclear whether it will win him a fan.
