Caio Borralho believes he has the tools to abdicate Khamzat Chimaev.
“Borz” fits one of the most dominant displays in the history of UFC title fights in Chicago, securing a decisive decision victory over Reinier de Ridder, becoming the new discussion-free middleweight world champion of promotion.
Since then, we have been lined up with potential candidates and believe they have what they need to solve the puzzle. This includes Borralho, who revealed a month ago that if the UFC wants to book him for a title fight in October, he will be happy to bail for a scheduled scrap at UFC Paris.
“I have great respect for Khamzat,” Borralho told MMA Junkie. “He’s like a brother to me, but at this point, at this level of competition, it’s me and him.
“If the UFC comes to me now and says, ‘Forget him, get ready to fight Khamzat in October,’ I’m ready. If the UFC offers this to me, I’ll say yes right away. See what happens.
Caio Borralho still has to experience the first candidate in the middleweight division if he wants to fight Chimaev
The fighter jet Boralho happens to be “careful” by Imabov of Nassoldeen, the current top-ranked middleweight candidate. The two are scheduled to be scrapped on “The City of Light” on September 6th, and the winner could have emerged as Chimaev’s first challenger.
Of course, if Chimaev made a quick turnaround and decided to fight in October when UFC could head to Abu Dhabi, Bolarho, or Imabov. However, given that “Bolz” barely averages the fights once a year these days, we didn’t wager any money on the event.
