Cam Johnson saw something far more shocking from Christian Braun than watching Nikola Jokic play.
One of the Denver Nuggets’ best moves this offseason was trading Michael Porter Jr. to acquire Cam Johnson.
Many believe Johnson will be the Nuggets’ most exciting star as he will fill Porter Jr.’s role and improve his numbers.
So far, Johnson has made an impression in Nuggets practices. And in the preseason, he has focused on building chemistry with his teammates.
Nikola Jokic is the Nuggets’ standout superstar, but it was Christian Braun who impressed him the most in the preseason.
Cam Johnson talks about WNBA legend Sue Bird and the Young Man and the Three. When talking about his new teammates, Johnson cited Christian Braun and how he has developed.
Johnson has been following Brown’s career for years and has been quite surprised to see his growth as both a shooter and a defender.
“I really like the development of cornerback Christian Braun over the years.
“I remember the early part of his career and the role he played and how he developed it and became a really good basketball player, a really good defender and taking open shots. That’s what surprised me the most.”
“Obviously, I watched him last year and he did a great job off the ball, scoring on cuts, scoring in transition.
“But what he showed me this summer and this training camp is that he also had a lot of games to back that up.”
Christian Braun is set to be the starter for the Denver Nuggets this upcoming NBA season. His strong performance last season was praised.
In addition to what he has been doing with the Nuggets, Brown needs to take his game to a new level. Being a starter for a championship contender like the Nuggets comes with certain expectations.
Now, Brown has become the Nuggets’ most elite 3-and-D player and must make an even better impression on both ends of the court.
You can’t underestimate how big a role Brown will be for the Nuggets next season and how important he is to their championship aspirations.
