Celtic is reportedly “set to up ante” and is about to complete a statement signing a long-term target statement during the summer transfer period.
It looks like Hoops are pushing hard to complete their important business this summer. Many players are strongly linked to movements towards Parkhead.
Celtic is believed to have come into contact with Andregi Bakanin, a teenager at FC Kukarikki over the switch to the club, but rival rangers have offered tough competition for his services. The new update also claims that the Scottish Premiership champion will be in pole position to snap the 18-year-old midfielder ahead of the European club.
Meanwhile, Hoop has been discussing Royal Antwerp attacker Michel Enji’s Balikwisha about his move to the club, and the 24-year-old was considered a target on Brendan Rogers’s side.
In fact, a report earlier this year said that the Celtic manager was a great Belgian admirer and had been looking at him for a while. Now there is a new update on his pursuit.
Celts are increasing efforts to sign Balikwisha
According to Daily RecordCeltics have been “set to up ante” to sign Balikwisha this summer. The report adds that signing Balikwisha is a “statement of intent” and that Hoop is “ready to strike.”
Antwerp boss Steph Wills also suggests that leaving for one of his best players is potentially on the card. “That’s possible, yes. I work with people here right now. They all have the qualities to play here, so it’s stupid not to use them.”
Celtic feels like he’s keen to get a deal with Balikwisha on the line, something that could be such an impressive business by the Scottish giant.
At the age of 24, the left winger was at the perfect point of his career, coming straight and praised as an “unpredictable” player by analyst Ben Matinson.
Balikwisha likes the idea of moving on to one of the biggest clubs in the UK after entertaining the discussion, and there’s no reason why he couldn’t become Parkhead’s next great attacker.
