Recently, when he questioned whether Suresh Raina sealed India’s World Cup victory with six, or whether he agreed with several others like Gautam Gambhir, whether he came up with an interesting response to the fact that the World Cup was not won by a single six.
There was often this misconception about credits for the 2011 World Cup final. Some give Ms Dhoni full credit for six of his incredible 91 run innings and the final ball match at Wankede, but others often say that Gartham Gambir has locked him into a strong position in his crucial 97.
But whatever the cause of the victory, ICT fans celebrated India’s second ICC World Cup title in a 50-over format after a long wait of 28 years after winning first in 1983 and missed very closely in the 2003 final.

Suresh Raina explodes Gautam Gambhir with “Ek Chakke ne to Jitya hai”
Former Indian batsman Suresh Reina has recently appeared on the Shubhankar Mishra podcast. There, he also expressed his opinion on several aspects of the game, and was asked by the host about his views on India’s 2011 World Cup victory.
“After winning the World Cup, we as fans have heard about our rivalry within the team. There have been many statements. It continues to this day. In our interview, we saw Ek Chakke ne jitya ya nahi jitya ask you,” Shubhankar says.
“Chakke Nek Jitaya Hai, Sub Ko Pata Hai (we won after those six, everyone knows),” Reina replied simply. He clearly snatched fame from Gautam Gambhir and specifically praised the six popular ones for the World Cup victory.
Suresh Raina dedicated the World Cup victory to the entire Indian management team along with players
However, Suresh Raina also highlighted the fact that anyone should be credited for the victory of India’s Gautam Gambhir or Dhoni. This victory was dedicated to the great Sachin Tendulkar, who played six World Cups in his career but was unable to win. It was a victory for every member of the team.
“The Indian team won the World Cup, regardless of what anyone says. All players know that this World Cup is for Team India, those who prayed for us, and Sachinpa Aji who played six World Cups but not one.”
“It was for the coaches, support staff, Manekkaka (massage therapist), trainers, doctors, captains, vice captains and childhood coaches,” he added.
Suresh Raina praises Yuvraj Singh for his World Cup victory
Standing by the sidelines with Gautam Gambhir or MSD, Raina continued to take pride in veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, as the main reason behind India’s performance at the World Cup. The players were also awarded the men of the tournament. However, it was later discovered that he was suffering from cancer during the ICC tournament.
“The whole tournament was good, but I think I won the tournament for Yuvraj Singh. How he hit, his field and how he gave many breakthroughs. I later came to know that he had cancer.
Reina also thanked the great Sachin Tendulkar for Dhoni to lead him aside for a quarter-final clash with Australia.
“Unless you’ve hit a century or 50 people, it’s this (underrated) kind of thing in the middle overs. But I was very grateful to Sachinpa Aji for talking to Mahibai. Mahibai said I was playing in the quarterfinals.
