The Champions Cup rugby match between Toulouse and Sale was about 30 minutes late on Sunday, when a parachute player was caught on the roof of Stadium des Toulouse during a pre-match display.
In social media footage, airborne performers glided over the venue before staying on the edge of the roof, reducing blue and white parachutes to pieces.
The BBC broadcaster saw Parastist hanging for several minutes as fans were cleared from the area and workers placed protective inflatable decorations under him.
The firefighters then slowly raised the mechanized ladder and gathered the men into the basket. He was clearly going to deliver the game ball.
A striking image of the Parascist accident at Toulouse Stadium.

A drama in Toulouse. Three military parachuters land on the pitch, one of them gets caught up in the roof. It appears that the kickoff is late. pic.twitter.com/aq6m3htnd1

A surprising scene in Toulouse, a parachuteist rescued by firefighters 25 minutes after being caught up in the stadium. Kick-off for sales delays. It’s good to look down at him safely pic.twitter.com/k0o4n2wird
