West Ham has a hard time starting the season, but the same cannot be said about one of his previous players. Departing on the deadline day, Nayef Aguerd starred in the first few weeks of Marseille’s career.
Aguerd began the first three games of West Ham of the season, but it was eventually decided that he could leave. Marseille snapped him, and after all, they were absolutely desperate to land his signature.
Roberto deserbi led Marseille’s efforts and signed Nayef aguerd
According to LE10 Sports (via Sports Witness), Marseille Sports Director Mehdie Benatia revealed that Roberto Deserbi, formerly Brighton’s Marseille manager, would be extremely difficult to sign Aguerdo from West Ham.
“I’m not the only one he’s here. The truth is that the coach wanted him! In America, when a coach saw him, he said, “Stop everything, I want Neif Agurdo.” ”
Additionally, Aguerd also revealed that De Zerbi played a major role in his decision to sign Marseille.
“Frankly, it’s linked to the coach’s style of play. All credits go to him. His philosophy suits me. I want to high pitch, press and dominate the game. That’s why I came.
“I would also like to thank the club because they helped me adjust to a great extent. The players, coaches and medi I have known for a long time have all made my integration easier.”
Agloud may love life in Marseille, but there is a possibility that he will leave in 2026. Man United is said to be interested in bringing him back to the Premier League.
