Charles Oliveira is a 2025 Forest Griffin Community Award recipient.
Announced annually as part of International Fight Week honours, the Forest Griffin Community Award is personally selected by UFC CEO Dana White to recognize fighter jets in their charity. At the UFC Kansas City event on Saturday, Oliveira was announced for his work for this year’s Charles’ Bronx Institute.
Oliveira will be officially awarded the award at the 2025 UFC Hall of Fame ceremony in June.
“Charles is not only a great athlete, but also a great role model who enjoys giving back to the community,” White said of Oliveira. “Charles does an incredible job of supporting local youths by providing free education and jiu-jitsu training at his lab, and he directly helps them create a better life for themselves in the process.
The former UFC lightweight champion will receive a $25,000 donation to his choice charity provided by the UFC Foundation.
Oliveira is waiting for the next octagon allocation, removing Michael Chandler from the dominant decision at UFC 309 in November.
