Chelsea is reportedly set to Aston Villa to attack midfielder Morgan Rogers on their best transfer targets for the rest of the summer.
Bruce has already started the windows hard by bringing in Joan Pedro, Liam Dellup and Jamie Gittens, but it doesn’t seem to be over yet.
According to Sun, Chelsea have recently seen them invest a lot in the young talent at the top.
The report says England International is valued at around £80 million.
Morgan Rogers becomes Chelsea’s top transfer target
Rodgers finished last season with an impressive tally of 14 goals and 12 assists in all club and country competitions.
At one point he was even praised as “outstanding” by former TNT Sports Villa Man Stillyan Petrov.
It’s easy to see why Chelsea is interested in a talented 22 year old.
Rogers has developed well since joining the villa, so he may not want to leave too soon, as he often sees players struggling after running into a big move.
Still, his commitment to recruiting and developing Chelsea young players should be a pretty good destination for him at this stage of his career.
Can Chelsea bring together a team that will be coming to the title?
Chelsea fans have had to be patient, but there are signs that this project appears to be finally coming together.
The West London Giants won the European Conference League Final and the Club World Cup final under Enzo Maresca, but have also returned to the Champions League next season.
If CFCs add someone like Rodgers to their team, they should definitely be considered one of the main teams they will watch in next season’s title race.
