Chelsea have been trying to sign a new striker for quite some time, but have not managed to sign the world-class attacker Enzo Maresca hopes for.
Bruce had linked to several attackers last summer, including Viktor Gyoker, Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen.
However, none of them have been signed and the search is set to continue this summer.
According to I caught an offside Source, Chelsea decided to retreat from the race and sign Victor Osimchen.
For now, the Nigerian striker is not considered one of the main goals of his summer transfer plan.
The Blues used to be completely in Osimhen’s race, but their interest has recently cooled down.
After scoring 28 goals in Galatasaray’s 32 appearances this season, Osimhen is once again attracting attention from some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United.
Bruce is currently focused on exploring other options to enhance their attacks. Names like Viktor Gyoker and Benjamin Sesko are high on the Chelsea list.
Meanwhile, Man United and Juventus remain in the race at Osimchen.
Red Devils are planning a major reconstruction of the attack, questioning the future of both Rasmus Hoøjlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Osimhen is considered a top-level striker who can lead the line at Man United next season.
Chelsea is no longer interested in Victor Osimhen
Juventus is also working on plans to sign a Napoli players currently on loan at Galatasaray. Italian clubs consider Osimhen an ideal alternative as Dusan Vlahovic could leave after the Club World Cup.
The strong relationship between Juventus director Cristiano Juntori and Osimhen’s agent could be useful for future lectures.
Chelsea’s withdrawal could change the dynamics of Nigeria’s transfer game, and Osimhen’s future is still open. His name is one of the hottest things on the market, and no other clubs have been ruled out to race between now and the summer.
Luciano Spalletti describes Nigerian players as “a great striker.”
Ipswich attacker Liam Dellup is another striker on Chelsea’s radar after an impressive performance this season.
