Maresca’s prolific striker shortage has made the Italians more creativity in recent weeks. The Chelsea boss is very keen to fix this hole in the team ahead of the second full campaign, and it is believed that the West Londoners are looking to target some of the top strikers next season.

According to trusted journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea include RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco, Ipswichtown Starlet Liam Dellup, Aintrak Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitique and long-term target Victor Osimen.
Sesco is a signature of Chelsea’s “very serious” possibility, and Dellup could potentially get a grab this summer after Ipswich’s relegation to the championship, following another outstanding campaign with Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
The latter deal has a £30 million release clause tied to Ipswich’s relegation, so after an impressive season with Portman Road’s struggling team, Dellup could be a very sharp option.
However, other elite clubs looking for number nine are also fully aware of the 22-year-old exit clause and the Sesko club, which is currently rumoured to be around £62 million.
Reports show that as Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham are also on the market for proven forwards, Chelsea may have to think outside the box when it comes to solving the misery of strikers.
Chelsea prepares a £43 million bid for Comostar’s Asone Diao
Reports from Spain say Chelsea is currently targeting Como’s new striker, Assan Diao.
Senegal International just signed the side of CESC Fabregas in January and enjoys stoking the waves of the first few months of Serie A’s career with eight goals in the final 15 top flight matches.
Now there is a belief that Chelsea is preparing a summer bid for Diao after being impressed with its excellent shape at Como.
Liverpool also links with Diao’s move, so he clearly has his head turned in the Premier League. Journalist Antonio Mango has called the teenage talent “silly” within his first few weeks as a como player.
