Chelsea are busy this summer as they are ready to return to the Champions League, with another Bruco group club, Strasbourg, joining Europe. The Ligue 1 side played in the 2025-26 Europa Conference League and in preparation for life in that competition, they aimed for the Premier League to improve their team.
Strasbourg may also have to trade players who have been linked to the move during the summer transfer period. One of them is Emmanuel Emega. The striker was linked to his participation in Chelsea, and in the event of that event, the French club replaced the sights.
Leeds striker Mateo Joseph was what Strasbourg wanted
According to Leedslive (via Givemesport), Strasbourg is considering the move for Leeds Striker Mateo Joseph. The highly rated forward has already linked to Real Betis, where Chelsea lost in the UEFA Conference League final earlier this week, but it is possible that the move to France is on the card now.
Leeds may need to raise money to improve their teams well enough, as they are ready for the Premier League, despite having been in pockets of over £100 million since securing the promotion as champions last season. Joseph will be a strong candidate in this regard, given his interest in services has begun to grow in recent weeks.
It has been reported that Leeds will consider selling Joseph at a rate in the £11 million region, and given the support of Bruco and European qualifications, Strasbourg must be more than capable of reaching this figure. For now, it is still unknown if he is moving to France.
