Chelsea is set to sign sports CP attacker Geovany Quenda at the end of the season.
Bruce secured his signature last month, and Quenda’s teammate Francisco Trincao revealed that the young attacker is a great player with a bright future.
“Quenda is not only a great player, but he is also a great kid,” he told O Jogo.
“He knows the quality he has, but he also knows how to listen to everyone and listen. He knows he has to work and he works very well.
“On the field, he doesn’t fear having the ball or doing things he knows how to move forward or do well, so I think his future is bright.”
The 17-year-old has been highly regarded throughout Europe, with multiple Premier League clubs keen on him. Chelsea managed to win the race for his signature, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to quickly adapt to British football.
Geovany Quenda could become a Chelsea asset
The Quenda can work on both sides, adding pace, flare and unpredictability to the Chelsea attack.
The 17-year-old only improved through coaching and experience, and Chelsea was able to develop him into a future star. He is a world-class potential player, and if he can fulfill his potential with the Blues, the transfer could look like a masterstroke in the long run.
Chelsea had to add more quality to the larger area, especially in the way that they played by people like Mykhailo Mudryk and Jadon Sancho. The 17-year-old could be an exciting addition if he hits the ground running in British football.
Chelsea have shown improvements under Enzo Maresca this season, seeking Champions League qualification. If they manage to finish in the top four, they need to make a significant improvement on their team.
They cannot expect to do well in the Champions League with a set of current players. Players like Quenda can prove to be extremely useful.
