Chelsea are already busy during the summer transfer, with more business coming at Stamford Bridge. And one arrival may be made from La Liga Champions Barcelona.
In recent years, Chelsea have prioritized signing young players, and they are not afraid to spend too much on their goals. Liam Delap already had £30 million splashes, and soon Fermin Lopez was able to join the Enzo Maresca team.
Fermin has been an impressive performer for Barcelona over the past few seasons, but the sale could be sold to cards, especially given that the club’s well-documented financial issues, as the 22-year-old is not a guaranteed starter.
Chelsea submits opening offer for Fermin Lopez
Chelsea wants to take advantage of this situation as El Chingate reports that an EUR 75 million offer has been filed by the UEFA Conference League Champions.
Now, Fermin is behind Daniormo and Gavi on Barcelona’s pecking orders when attacking midfield, so it’s no surprise to see a sale being considered this summer. However, this can give Chelsea hope, but they will feel very different to agree to personal terms with Spanish international.
The report states that Fermin is extremely pleased with Barcelona. Barcelona considers him to be the club of his life. He has no plans to consider leaving soon. This is a blow as it could potentially make a deal this summer.
Fermin previously linked Man United and Aston Villa, but despite Chelsea’s presence he still has no plans to move to the Premier League. Nevertheless, there is still a possibility that things could change in the future.
