Chelsea is tied to the movement of Atletico Madrid midfielder Johnny Caldosault at the end of the season.
According to a report by Fichajes, they would be willing to offer 35 million euros to sign the 23-year-old US International.
The players have been deeply connected to their journey to Tottenham Hotspur in recent months. The North London Club secured him the first denial when they sold Giovani Rocerso to the real Betis. Tottenham can sign players for a set fee of around 25 million euros.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham has decided to exercise its clause in the summer. They can use more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the LA La Liga midfielder will be an excellent acquisition.
If Tottenham decides to exercise their closing, Chelsea will be empowered to stop him from joining London’s rivals. That being said, Tottenham has to convince players to join.
It is still unknown how the situation will unfold.
Chelsea can use Johnny Cardoso
Chelsea can use more depth even in the middle of the park, while US International adds physical and defensive cover to the sides. He shows his qualities in La Liga and he has the ability to do well in the Premier League as well.
It would be interesting to see where he ends up going. He’ll want to join a big club that can fight for the trophy, and Chelsea could be a more attractive destination in that respect. They are fighting for their Champions League location next season, but Tottenham is taking on a mid-table job.
They may also be able to offer him a deal in favour of him, as they have more financial resources than Tottenham.
