The Minnesota Timberwolves head coach talks about the stars who are currently making many “good decisions.”
It’s never too late. This idiom is perfect for Minnesota Timberwolves performance this season.
After all, the new roster finally clicks after a shaky start to the season. This is clear from the fact that T-Wolves are 8-2 in the last 10 games.
A lot has been right for the Timberwolves over the past few weeks, but the biggest impact lies in star forward Julius Randle.
Randle dropped 41 and 31 points in the team’s final two games, respectively. Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch was asked about Randle’s form after an astonishing 117-91 victory at Brooklyn Net.
Finch thinks Randle is great playing well, but the 30-year-old should have done this for most of the season.
“He probably should have done it more throughout the year, but he has made a lot of really good decisions, whether it’s for himself or for his teammates. He’s been doing it for a long time.
“Now he’s really playing in a big ditch offensively and defensively. And, as you know, it’s been doing great theatre and playing good, and he has the power to get to the shot.”
Randle shot 16 of a total of 10 from the 3-point line in the last two games. This has become a welcome inclusion for the Finch on the attacking edge of the floor.
“It’s huge. I mean, he has so many good things. The ball is finding him. The guys are finding him. He’s in a good space. He’s got a good rhythm. He’s not thinking about it.
“He’s not trying to jab or dribble or sometimes he’s going to turn it down and make a little too much dribble, but he’s committed to the shot right now.”
Randle has really found his groove since the NBA All-Star break. He’s shooting 52.5% from the field and a great 41.1% from the deep.
