Liverpool may make their hopes slimmer to beat FC Bayern over Florian Wiltz.
Still, we can feel at ease from the fact that they are thought ahead of their domestic rival Manchester City.
That’s despite Pep Guardiola giving a personal overture to Wurtz in front of the summer window.
Liverpool is a dark horse from Florian Wurts races.
Perhaps it’s best to classify Liverpool’s chances of winning the German international race to the fullest extent.
Certainly, despite Florian Wiltz’s obvious interest from the Premier League, Christian Faulk now reports that Bayern Munich is “optimistic” to complete the signature.
“We’ve already reported that Manchester City is making an offer to the Germans.” The Football Director of Build has exclusively notified of catch-offsides.
“But apparently I also met Liverpool FC. As things stand, Liverpool is moving ahead of Man City in poker.
“But the truth is: FC Bayern is optimistic that he will win a dream player this summer or 2026, as his contract runs through 2027.”
How much does it cost to sign Wirtz?
It is understood that Bayern is preparing opening bids in the region of 100 million euros (£84.6 million).
However, it remains to be seen whether this will touch the Bayer Leverkusen side.
Given the size of interest, the former Bundesliga champion is within the right to approach the preferred asking price of 150 million euros (£116.3 million).
Liverpool’s record signature | Man City’s record signing |
Virgil Van Dijk (£75m) | Jack Grelish (100 million pounds) |
Allison Becker (£65 million) | For GVViol (£776m) |
Darwin Nunes (previously £64 million) | Rodri (£62.8m) |
Man City is even more desperate
To be completely fair for Manchester City, players of Florian Wurtz qualities need more clearly.
Kevin de Bruin will leave Etihad Stadium if his contract expires in June this year, depending on the current situation. This is an exit that leaves a big gap that needs to be filled in the Sky Blues lineup.
By comparison, Liverpool has a well-balanced, young midfield trio with Alexis Mac Alistair (26), Dominique Zoboschlei (24) and Ryan Gravenberch (22).
Of course, this is all academic, but Bayern continues to maintain the strongest foothold in the race to sign Wirtz this summer.
