According to Christian Faulk, Bayern Munich is reportedly not in the race to sign Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa.
Written in his exclusive column for the Daily Briefing, Falk slammed rumors that Bayern would join the mix and sign Chiesa, who is focused on staying at Anfield.
Italian International plays regularly in his first year at Liverpool and struggles to make many impacts, but it seems he isn’t necessarily leaving yet.
Catch off side Chiesa has attracted interest from the Serie A club and understands that he could also be involved as part of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak’s contract.
Federico Chiesa won’t leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich
Discussing Chiesa’s rumours, Falk said: “It’s not true. Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa is once again a topic of discussion at FC Bayern. The 27-year-old Italian forward will be signed to Liverpool until the summer of 2028.
“It should be clearly stated for the record that Bayern had no serious interest in bringing the former Juventus star to Sevener Strace. Either way, Chiesa made it clear to the club that he wanted to stay at Anfield.”
Bayern has already signed LFC Luis Diaz in this transfer window, but it doesn’t seem like they can expect another deal between these clubs.
Chiesa recently scored a late goal for Liverpool in a victory at Bournemouth, showing that he is still worthy of Arne Slot as a team player.
The 27-year-old clearly has his qualities, but it’s still not clear how often he will be able to join the team before Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz and others.
