Los Angeles left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw was selected by Commissioner Rob Manfred to become an All-Star as his “foundation pick.” This is the 11th All-Star appearance on the Car Show.

The announcement comes days after the Carshaw recorded its 3,000th career strikeout against the Chicago White Sox. Southpaw became the 20th pitcher in MLB history and the third pitcher to throw 3,000 strikeouts on one team.
Kershaw is also the fourth left-handed pitcher to join 3,000 strikeout clubs.
The future Hall of Fame continues to be added to his illustrious resume as he was selected for the 2025 All-Star Game in Atlanta.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto nominated the All-Star
Yoshinobu Yamamoto was also selected for the National League All-Star, marking the first right-handed appearance of his career at Midsummer Classic.
Yamamoto boasts a 2.51 ERA with 109 strikeouts and 1.014 whips this season. The right-hander is the ‘ most reliable starter and has been a genuine ace in his sophomore MLB season.
