Despite not having European football next season, Man United is expected to still be able to spend a lot of time during this summer’s transfer. And the two deals we’re working on are for two offensive players who have been good in the Premier League over the past 12 months.
The final tickets are still available for the Champions League Finals!
Man United is believed to be in the final stages of the Matthews Cunha deal, but they are also believed to have set their sights on Brian Mbeumo. But neither player should head to Old Trafford this summer, according to Stan Colliemore.
Collymore disapproves Man United to sign Cunha for Mbeumo
In his exclusive catch-offside column, Colliemore clarified his thoughts on the moves of Man United’s Cunha and Mbeumo.
“I don’t like signing Mas Cougne and Mann United. I think he showed this season that his temperament wasn’t the best and that it’s clear on the pitch and on social media.
“And I don’t think Brian Mbeumo should go there. He discussed this week, and there are many clubs that he’s good for to join — and considering the seasons he’s had up until now, he won the right to play European football in 2025-26.
“He links with Newcastle, but for me I think Aston Villa is a really good fit. He works under a manager who keeps him the best. He will play regularly in the Premier League and Europa League. In front.
“Chelsea will be another good move. I really appreciate Mbeumo so for me he is better than Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke. He can also provide a backup to delap in the striker position.”
