Former German World Cup winner Rudy Voler spoke about the poor start to Florian Wiltz’s life in Liverpool since his summer transfer from Bayer Leberkusen.
The 22-year-old felt world-class talent during his time in the Bundesliga, but it’s a bit of a surprise to see him struggle so much at Liverpool.
Wirtz has so far got 0 goals and 0 assists on the side of Arne Slot. He shows some promising moments, but it’s not enough to justify the big fees that Reds paid him.
However, Voller doesn’t seem to have a hard time adapting to Wirtz. He says this is a normal adjustment period that everyone can experience.
Florian Wiltz tilted to show what he can do in Liverpool
Voller, who managed the German national team in the 2002 World Cup final and worked as a sports director at Wirtz’s Old Club Leverkusen, has clearly not given up on German international.
“Florian shouldn’t let himself get carried away. I’m not worried about that. He shows what he’s made in English,” he told Build (via sports witness).
“Florian plays in a new league and a new club. These are normal adjustment issues. Almost every expert has. With his running and playing ability, he’s definitely going to make a breakthrough.”
Don’t try to amortize Florian Wiltz
As Voller says correctly, Wirtz is in a new club, a new league, a new country, so Liverpool fans all wanted to see him running to the ground, but it’s not so surprising that he doesn’t.
Only 22 years old, Wirtz has a big start to his career overall, but some poor spells are inevitable and still seem stupid to write him down.
Slot did a great job at the LFC, so he certainly has to solve this issue and fire Wirtz and the entire team right away.
