Fabrizio Romano has given Viktor Gyoker an update to the Arsenal transfer saga following the “crazy excitement” about the deal over the last few days.
Some gunner fans seem to have seen the Sport Lisbon Striker move as essentially already completed, but that’s not the case.
Speaking about his YouTube channel, Romano now provided an update on the situation in several reports on potentially collapsed transactions.
Italian journalists have called for calm from Arsenal fans, urging them to negotiate the two clubs, and to be left with nothing yet or are still falling apart…
Mullet was one of the outlets that Arsenal and Sport claimed they couldn’t agree to the deal, but that doesn’t mean it’s not necessarily at a time when it’s a few days.
Fabrizio Romano told Arsenal fans to calm down about Victor Gyoker’s deal
“I’ve been receiving a lot of questions from Arsenal fans about Victor Gyoker,” Romano said. “Guys, I know there are some suggestions recently that the transaction is already completed and completed, and that isn’t going on, but that doesn’t mean that the transaction isn’t over.
“So, karma about Gyoker’s story. There was crazy excitement on Sunday. I understand that Arsenal is undergoing very high consultations for Victor Gyoker, as Arsenal has made significant progress. That will not change.
“The deal was not made after that. The club needs an agreement club before the transaction is completed. The contract with Gyoker remains. It’s a five-year deal. Today’s Gyoker is very clear in sports, even in recent times. He doesn’t show up in training.
“This message is very clear from Viktor Gyokeres. He won’t show up. He doesn’t want to play for the sport anymore. He wants to go to Arsenal.
“So now the two clubs are continuing their conversation about the gap they have in their assessment of Viktor Gyoker. Let’s trace the situation. Let’s get them to work. I’m not negative about this Joker story. The conversation is ongoing. Arsenal is working on that.
Will Arsenal get the striker they need?
Viktor Gyokeres Player Profile
Gyoker has shown that he can be one of Europe’s deadliest goalscorers, scoring an astounding 97 goals in just 102 appearances in two seasons in the sport.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether Swedish International can realistically repeat such scoring rates in the Premier League.
| Sporting’s Gyoker statistics | game | the goal |
| 2023/24 | 50 | 43 |
| 2024/25 | 52 | 54 |
But even if he doesn’t, he looks like someone who can achieve goals of 25 or more in the season.
If Arsenal doesn’t get Gyoker, Benjamin Sesko looks unlikely at the moment, so it’s still not clear who else could bring it, but Ollie Watkins can be seen as a backup option.
