Crystal Palace have been one of the in-form teams in the Premier League this season and he could be expected to replace Marc Gehi in the top flight.
Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi responds to transfer speculation
There has been a lot of speculation this summer about Crystal Palace star Guehi. Despite this, a last-minute move to Liverpool fell through for the England international, whose contract at Selhurst Park expires in 2026.
In an open conversation surrounding his future, the former Chelsea player has revealed that his only priority on international duty at the moment is focused on securing a place in England’s World Cup squad.
He said: “To be honest, it doesn’t really matter to me. As long as I play well and help Palace, I definitely have a chance to be here like I was today.”
“Being organized is not the most important thing to be honest. Personally, I don’t know if I can think that far ahead. I just want to take it one step at a time. It’s just about focusing on the game at Palace and my future opportunities here.”
Oliver Glasner is also a target of Nottingham Forest as his contract expires next summer. Crystal Palace are a club on the rise, after all, and after a strong start to the Premier League campaign, other clubs are also looking to snap up their key assets.
If success continues at Selhurst Park, the rumors are unlikely to die down. Either way, preparing for the future and contingency planning will be an important part of your future planning.
With that in mind, Crystal Palace have identified potential replacements should the club continue to show interest in Guehi.
Crystal Palace want to sign Max Kilman to replace Marc Gehi
Crystal Palace want to sign West Ham defender Max Kilman to replace Guehi and could make a move in January to secure his availability, according to football insider and journalist Wayne Vasey.
But any deal will be difficult to seal amid manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s admiration for the defender, who was a key part of his Wolverhampton Wanderers side when they worked together at Molineux.

The London-born man is under contract at West Ham until 2031 and joined the Hammers for £40m in a deal worth £100,000-a-week, so it may take some serious effort to tempt Kilman over the line.
The 28-year-old has appeared in eight games in all competitions this term and has always played on the left side of the backline, but it remains to be seen whether he is willing to change things up.
Crystal Palace are likely to mount a solid challenge on the European stage this term, and Killman may be tempted by the possibility of filling in for such a key figure, but it will be interesting to see if Gehi is sold in January to free up space.
It’s also worth noting that quality strikers like Villa’s Ollie Watkins refer to Killman as a “top player”.
