Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) cricketer Chris Gail recently revealed that he is dominating his favorite opponent in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gail also nominated two memorable T20 leagues around the world, ignoring tournaments such as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Big Bash League (BBL).
Known as “The Boss of the Universe,” Chris Gale was the explosive fabric of T20 cricket. He has scored over 14,500 runs in his illustrious career. The left-handed batter has appeared in almost every major franchise league around the world, with the majority of the T20 runs appearing in the RCB and the Punjab Kings (PBK) IPL.

On Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Chris Gayle was asked to dominate about his favorite IPL partner. Gale revealed he enjoys playing against a strong team. The veteran opener said he enjoyed facing Kings XI Punjab (now King of Punjab) before he joined.

“You know, it used to be Kings Xi Punjab, so I joined. No, I like to play against strong opponents.
When asked if he enjoyed facing Jaspuri Bamrah, Gail said defeating the Mumbai Indians gave him a greater sense of satisfaction as he is a very strong enemy.
“Yeah, when you beat Mumbai, it feels better. They’re big guns,” Gail said.

When asked about his most memorable T20 league, Chris Gale mentioned the IPL and CPL. Gale said he won his first title for Jamaican Tarawas in the Caribbean Premier League. He also recalled a successful run against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, despite not winning the trophy.
“Well, I’ll mention two things: IPL and CPL. I was playing for Jamaica Tarawas, and it was my first time playing for them and winning the title.
“I didn’t get the trophy at RCB, but I did an incredible run with them, and I met some amazing people in some great times.
Kris Gale’s IPL carrier at KKR, RCB and Punjab Kings
Gale had an IPL career from 2009 to 2021, representing the Kolkata Knight Rider, Royal Challenger Bengaluru and the Punjab Kings. Southpaw has recorded 4,965 runs in 142 matches, including the 6th century and the 50s, and holds the record for most six in IPL history with 357.
Gayle destroyed an unbeaten 175 against the Pune Warriors, setting the record for the highest individual score in the T20 match. He played 85 games with the RCB, averaging 43.33 and had a strike rate of 152.73.
The left-handed batsman was featured in four seasons for PBK, averaging 36.18, including a century and 10 years, and recorded 1,339 runs in 41 games. He last played PBK’s IPL match against the Mumbai Indians in 2021.
Overall, Gayle has scored 14,562 runs from 463 T20 games, including the 22nd and 88 years, holding most T20 runs and century records.
