Los Angeles catcher Dalton Rushing was forced to finish Friday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles after fouling the ball out of his foot.
He quickly fell to the ground in great pain and was unable to put any weight on his right leg as he was transported from the field.

Rush is currently getting a chance as the ‘ starting catcher with Will Smithout. Without rushing Smith, the only have Ben Rothvevet as the catch option on the roster.
Rortvedt was acquired by the as part of a three-team deal, at the deadline for sending catcher hunter Feduccia to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Smith is not expected to play until next week, so the hope that Rush injuries aren’t as bad as they look. If in a hurry, the will need to find another catcher to join Rortvedt on the roster.
