Da’Mon Blackshear vs. Cody Gibson - UFC Vegas 104 Highlights
SHARE

Da’mon Blackshear survived an early storm from Cody Gibson and secured his second submission victory through Kimura at UFC Vegas 104.

Gibson mostly controlled the first half of the opening round, dominating the overwhelming Blackshire with pressure and numerous strikes. However, it was Blackshire who finished the round in a dominant position and opened the cut to Gibson.

Much of the second round was spent on the mat, with Blackshire gaining top control and quickly moving to side control. “Da Monster” with his troublesome elbows allowed him to grab Gibson’s right arm and chinch hold with Kimura, forcing the “rebel” to make a choice – tap or snap.

Gibson made a wise decision, tapped out Blackshire and handed her fourth victory inside the Octagon.

Official Results:da’mon Blackshear def. Cody Gibson via submission (Kimura) at 4:09 in Round 2.
