The Los Angeles were missing Tommy Edman in their starting lineup on Wednesday in a 12-7 victory over the Miami Marlins.

After not starting Monday’s game, he eventually joined the game as a pinch hitter and even hit a walk-off single, but he was concerned that Edman would once again be out of the lineup on the ‘ upcoming off-day Thursday.
Edman said that after Wednesday’s game, insider Dave Vasge, his right ankle was fine despite his right ankle being “fine-tuned” the night before.
manager Dave Roberts called Edman every day.
“He said he felt much better today,” Roberts said. “If he wasn’t there on Friday, he would certainly be there on Saturday.”
The skipper seems confident that the utility star will soon return to the lineup.
The responded to skids after losing three games this month with five wins as they headed for Atlanta.
Edman attended these four victories, earning a total of five RBIs, three hits and a stolen base, helping his team return to the victory column in key ways.
Edman headed for the at the 2024 trade deadline and became one of the most productive players on the roster.

In 37 games last season, Edman hit a .237 with an OPS of .711, adding six Homer and 20 RBIs.
He took things to another level in October. He hit .328 with a pair of home runs, 13 RBIs and five stolen bases as he earned NLCS MVP honors to help the lift the World Series Trophy No. 8.
For now, fans are hoping Edman’s ankles will be healed on the scheduled day of Thursday and ready to go to Atlanta. Both Edman and his skipper seem confident he will return to the lineup sooner than later.
