Since the Los Angeles summoned Heisenkim on May 3, he has been electricizing the lineup and providing sparks to sick teams.
Kim’s slash line has a .404/.436/.558 slash line, with an OPS of .994 in 52 at-bats. He also added seven RBIs and five stolen bases on the home run pair.

Just as Kim adds to the diamonds – in his time with the Korean baseball organization, offensively and defensively as a four-time Gold Globe Award-winning infielder – manager Dave Roberts recently discussed what the 26-year-old would bring to the team.
“Heisen, there’s something about him,” Roberts said. “That youthful enthusiasm, joy, he’s happy to be there, he’s happy to be on the team, everyone feeds energy, he takes a really good at-bat, he competes.
“And you know, give him some runways and he’s doing it well and taking advantage of it.”
His past achievements in Korea were covered in his first struggle to adapt to MLB level speeds during spring training, so Kim was not guaranteed anything after signing with the this offseason.
Kim spent 28 games on Triple A and hit .252/.328/.470 on the .798 OPS, and was called when utility man Tommy Edman was on the injured list. At the time, many weren’t sure how Kim would perform after he finally got the opportunity on the show, but when KBO standouts he made the most of his moments.
Kim’s versatility not only allowed him to play in shortstops and two bases, but also allowed him to play in the Gold Globe Awards from Korea, but also to have five appearances at Center Field during his time in LA.
After starting the season in Oklahoma City, Kim knows what it takes to stay in MLB and hopes to stay in Los Angeles in the near future.
