The Los Angeles were on the list of injured due to an ankle injuries, so Freddie Freeman will not be there for at least a week.

The move was retroactive until March 31st. That means Freeman is eligible to be out of the IL when the return from their six-game home stands next week.
The first game Freeman can return to is on April 11th, when the team’s series opener against the Chicago Cubs. manager Dave Roberts told reporters Friday he hopes Freeman is healthy enough to play.
Freeman slid his ankle in the shower last Sunday. The All-Star baseman felt good enough to play during this week’s series with the Atlanta Braves, but the were paying attention.
Freeman was expected to travel with his team for a road trip, but the again opposed it. Instead, Freeman returned to Los Angeles, but was not with the team for the series in Philadelphia or Washington, DC.

Roberts said he thinks Freeman can play this week, but he pointed out the “potential shortcomings” that make it worse, especially on every trip. Freeman wasn’t even 100% in front of the slip, so the felt this was a good time to give him more than a week off.
The called out catcher hunter Fedeccia to replace Freeman with an active roster. The prediction is that Quique Hernandez will be extended on a base with Freeman’s absence.
