The Los Angeles have the best record in baseball at this point in the season, but they are a talented roster and are always worth thinking about what the future holds for this team.
Manager Dave Roberts recently spoke with rookie catcher Dalton Rushing about the heights he believes his younger backstop will be able to reach.

“I feel he’s going to be a superstar,” Roberts said. “I love him in the box. He’s very confident. He’ll control the striking zone and be a good zone for a long time.”
The rush is currently at .212 with OPS+ 88, which is below the league average.
The young catcher seems to be on the heat recently, achieving a total batting average of .333 in his last five games, with an OPS of .917 in that period. However, he went 0-4 at the plate in Saturday’s game against the Royals.
Roberts also spoke about the title of “Superstar” and the meaning of playing like that. As a 2004 World Series winner, Skipper has been around superstars for many years in his tenure at MLB, managing a lineup full of future Hall of Fames.
“I think he has talent,” Roberts said. “The superstars I was in, I think they have edges and chips, and I think he plays on edges and chips, and he always feels he is the best option.
His offense is one thing, but defensively, he shows his strength by rushing to call the game. Specifically, along with ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto and a glowing review after rushing to catch his latest gem.
“I think he was calling my strengths pretty well,” Yamamoto said. “And the only result I got today was because of the way he called the game.”
Rush still finds his way in MLB, but after being a top prospect in LA for quite some time, it feels like his big league stardom is imminent.
