The said Muncie left the game with “left knee pain,” but Roberts made a more substantial update after the match.
Roberts said the initial Test has returned to promising, leading the team optimistically and not suffering serious injuries.
“I feel optimistic about a lot of the tests they’ve done now,” Roberts said. “And I think our hope is that it’s a sprain. So obviously, over the next few days he’s sure he’ll probably go down, but the MRI (Thursday) will be shown more.”
Muncie’s knee was bent backwards in a troublesome position and he quickly went to the ground in pain. SportsNet LA Broadcasts have chosen not to display replays.
Muncie enjoys an incredible midseason turnaround as it is one of the biggest disappointments of the first month of the season.
That year, Muncie cut .250/.375/.457 with 13 home runs, 55 RBI and OPS with .832. He was as low as .167 in late April and didn’t hit his first home run of the season until April 30th.
