Bad blood between the National League West Rivals was boiled down in the series finale of a four-game set at Stadium. right-hander Jack Little, who was making his major league debut, has acquired Fernando Tatis Jr.
It was the third time Tatis has been hit by a pitcher on the pitch in the last nine days. Silt began running on the field and began screaming towards the dugout in the direction of Roberts.
Roberts did not kindly take them to those accusations, but thrust into the field. The two skippers had to be separated by players, coaching staff and umpires.
Following the ‘ 5-3 defeat on Thursday night, Roberts explained why he felt strongly about Silt’s reaction to Little’s pitch.
“I’m trying to remove the starter from the game, try to start this game over and get this kid a few innings,” explained Roberts. “So I felt that personal. I understand that I understand that it’s not a good feeling to hit because I understand the game.
The Padres appeared to have retaliated in the same innings when Suarez plunged Shohei Ohtani with a fastball MPH of 100. However, Reliever argues that it is not intentional.
“It wasn’t intentional,” he said through an interpreter. “The decision was made by the referee. I knew that warnings had been issued to both clubs, but I was clearly not trying to attack him in that situation.
