The Los Angeles have recently seen some great plays from their starting Rotaion, but the bullpen hasn’t seen the same success.
This begged the question of using MVP Shohei Ohtani three times this October, but according to manager Dave Roberts, the plan still looks like Ohtani, who remains in his role as Starter.

“Yeah, we do,” Roberts said when asked about the plan. “Can that change the path of the postseason? Perhaps. But now we see him as a starter.”
Just because that’s the current plan, Roberts didn’t want Otani to box him in the rotation for the rest of the postseason.
“I don’t think there’s any need to do that,” Roberts said. “Ideally, I think we like how we run things, and before we do that in the postseason, we like to do a series of shows for certain things, roles.
“There’s a lot of unexpected things in the postseason.”
Something as unprecedented as this move also has a certain level of risk associated with it.
If Ohtani starts the game, he is taking part in the final 12 appearances in the bump so he can hit freely even after being taken out of the game. Ohtani starts the game as a batter and later enters with peace of mind and after being swapped for the mound, he can’t stay as a batter.
Due to the production that Otani is on display recently, the should ensure that Otani’s location does not reappear in this case in order.
Since September 1st, Ohtani has hit 0.333 with an OPS of 1.163. He already has four home runs and eight RBIs in that range, and even a stolen base.
Unfortunately, Otani hasn’t seen the same success on the mound. In his final three starts, he allowed six runners to win in these 12.2 innings work. He has 17 strikeouts in just three steps at that point, but Otani hopes that things will change more where his bat is heading, as it is a major part of the ‘ postseason pitching plan.
