Right-handed Bobby Miller was pulled out of his start earlier this week after pitching just 55 pitches in 2.1 innings. When Roberts was asked about Miller’s early departure, he was extremely shy.
“Was it he?” Roberts told Bill Plunkett, Orange County Register. “That’s interesting.”
At Triple A Oklahoma City this season, Miller has won a 2.25 ERA with 12 strikeouts and 1.42 whips. The right-hander was one of three starting pitchers competing in the final spot of the rotation this spring.
However, the made Miller an option for Triple A and he made his 2025 debut with the comets. Miller made his first outing with a minor, very productive, retired 12 of his last 14 batters. He allowed two hits, two walks, and never ran into 4.2 innings.
