Los Angeles two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani left the team and fans in awe with his best single-game postseason performance in Game 4 against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.
Ohtani had a special night at the plate and on the mound, hitting three home runs and striking out 10 batters through six shutout innings. manager Dave Roberts was quick to praise Ohtani after his performance.
“This was probably the best postseason performance of all time,” Roberts said. “There were a lot of postseason games, and there’s a reason he’s the greatest player on the planet.
“What he did on the mound, what he did at the plate, he created a lot of memories for a lot of people. So to have a game-defining game for us, to do it in a game-defining game at home, to win NLCS MVP, is pretty special. I’m really happy to be along for the ride.”

“That was the furthest ball I’ve ever hit,” Muncy said. “I’ve seen a lot of games here at Stadium, but nothing even comes close. This is the furthest ball I’ve ever seen.”
“It’s kind of funny. No one in the dugout thought he was going to hit a home run. When he hits his second one, we’re all saying, ‘Isn’t this the greatest game anyone’s ever played?'” Everybody said at the same time, ‘He’s going to hit another one.’ ”
