Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts revealed when right fielder Tescal Hernandez began to change his poor-shaped run towards the end of the regular season.
Hernandez hit a .256 in September. He finished the season with a six-game hit streak and gained momentum in the postseason.
“It started after that series in Colorado,” Roberts said. “It’s when he really turns it on and I think it’s a long season for all these guys. But it’s like he does, I have to play better, I have to do better, I have to do better, I have to do better defense, I have to dial up the offense.

The ‘ final series against the Colorado Rockies ended on September 10th, with Hernandez particularly hot the following day. LA’s next series faced the San Francisco Giants and after being hitless in the opening game, he returned his multi-hit performance to his ‘ division rivals back to his back. He had seven hits in 11 at-bats during these games.
Hernandez was featured in 11 more games during the remainder of the regular season, with at least one hit with seven of them.

The sturdy hitter rose on this occasion and was perhaps the ‘ best batsman during the postseason. He had two home runs in the first game of the playoffs against the Cincinnati Reds in the ‘ first game and hit a three-run shot that won the Game 1 game against the NLDS. His 1.428 OPS leads all the who have had at-bats in all three postseason games so far.
The are leading the Phillies in the 1-0 series as they head towards the second game of the series, where Blake Snell makes their second start of the postseason. Game 2 starts on Monday at 3:08pm.
