Nuggets defeated OKC in Game 6, but there may be a major problem with one of the best players getting injured. David Adelman explained the level of concern.

Forceping Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder was the Denver Nuggets’ goal on Thursday night, and they did just that. But it appears to have come at a small cost.

Nicola Jokic, Christian Brown and Jamal Murray led the way to Denver’s victory. But it’s another star that’s focused in the aftermath.

Aaron Gordon is one of Denver’s most clutch players this postseason. At the dying moment of Game 6, AG was seen grabbing his hamstring in court.

It didn’t affect the outcome of this game. The Nuggets were comfortable winning 119-107. But this is something that should be considered for manager David Adelman ahead of the extremely final clash in the series.

Every championship team needs players in key roles, and Gordon has once again been to the Nuggets this postseason.

Aaron compares Robert Holly with clutch shotmaking. Udonis Haslem even called Gordon the most important player on his team.

So it’s only natural that with the question mark surrounding his injury condition, his head coach is still very concerned about the situation.

“Nuggets interim coach David Adelman says there is “high” concern that Aaron Gordon’s hamstrings are “high,” but he didn’t know any details,” reported ESPN’s Tim McMahon.

The report added, “(He) pointed out that it was the best time to spend two days between games.”

The 29-year-old NBA champion plays at a higher level than ever before. His output during these playoffs shows why he is often debated among the league’s best roles.

In 12 games so far, in the postseason before Game 6, Gordon averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He also films an excellent 39.2% from the 3-point range.

Beyond the raw numbers, he was undoubtedly the NBA’s most clutch player this postseason. He had a game-winning dunk against the Clippers and made a huge 3-pointer to win games 1 and 3.

If he misses Game 7, it would be a brutal blow to Denver. Hopefully Gordon’s injury won’t prove to be more than a small set break.
