David Ornstein has made the fans’ move updates to Arsenal inviting amid recent speculation over one of his targets in the summer.
Much has been said and written about the link between Arsenal and real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, claiming Ornstein views important figures at the club as a completed transaction.
There has been some speculation that Real Madrid could hijack Arsenal’s move to Zubimendi, which seems to be unsure of anyone behind the scenes at Emirates Stadium.
Ornstein is one of the most trusted journalists in the business, especially when it comes to Arsenal, so fans will feel at ease what he says in the video clip below…

Ornstein appears to have heard from Arsenal sources that this is being treated as a transaction that has already been made. This is not what you want there unless everyone at the club is sure they won’t be embarrassed later.
Martin Zubimendi’s transfer to Arsenal can be considered a completed transaction
Ornstein’s claim here is similar to what Charles Watts said to us in his exclusive Arsenal column yesterday.
When discussing the threat of Real Madrid that is about to sign Zubimendi, Watts said:
“I know that reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid may have bolstered attempts to land the midfielder in recent weeks, and that his mind may have been spinning.
“I can’t confirm anything about Madrid’s level of interest in Zvimendi. I don’t know about that, but I know that Arsenal continues to want to trade over the real Sociedad Star line.
“They put a lot of effort into signing the Spaniards. Jason Eight was the club’s interim sports director before appointing Andrea Berta at the forefront of the job.
“And now, Berta is in the club and he is tasked with signing a contract for Spain International, and we hope that Arsenal will try to get it done early in the transfer window.
“Zvimendi is considered an Arsenal priority this summer, and it’s not clear as Yorginho has certainly left and Thomas Party’s future is heading towards the end of the contract.”
Zubimendi is impressed by his time at La Liga, and it appears he will be perfect for Arsenal next season.
