Jairzinho Roznestruik is the first dirty boxing champion.
The longtime UFC veteran faced Rakim Cleveland in the main event of DBX 3 at the hangar at Regatta Harbor in Miami on Friday night for his first dirty boxing heavyweight championship. Rozenstruik knocked Cleveland unconsciously at 1:54 and knocked into the opening round to win the championship.
The first minute of the fight was an emotional out-of-process, with one punch thrown. The action was quickly taken up in a big exchange, and Rozenstruik made it better, and soon after that the fight ended. Check out the finishing touches below.
After the victory, Rozenstruik faced off against former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski, and the promotion announced that the title fight is likely to take place in DBX 4 on a later date.
In the co-main event, one of the cards’ biggest favorites, Hector Lombard, was cleared up by James Cannon in just 19 seconds. The crowd was absolutely unsure to see Lombard hit his canvas in such a quick and emphatic way.
The former UFC fighter Brian Battle has competed in his first battle since it was released by the UFC about a week ago after consecutive weight mistakes. The battle destroyed a completely overmatched Derik de Freitas in a match with the middleweight feature. Jessica Rose Clark also won the main card victory in a unanimous decision victory over Claudia Zamora.
