Chelsea reportedly are approaching the final decision to transfer RB Leipzig to attack RB Leipzig midfielder Zabi Simons.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg posted on X about Simmons’ situation, saying that the Dutch International looks to be imminent departure from Leipzig.
He also added that Chelsea is scheduled to speak in a new round to try to end their contract, but Simons is now out of the Leipzig team where the pre-season friendliness are being held.

Plettenberg said:#xavi Simons is also not on RB Leipzig’s friendly team against Atalanta Bergamo today. Reason: His imminent departure from Leipzig. Chelsea hopes to close the deal soon as a new talk is scheduled. ”
This, following Simons, reveals on social media that he wants to leave Leipzig.
It certainly seems inevitable that Simmons will soon become a Chelsea player.
What the “exceptional” Xavi Simons can bring to Chelsea
Simons has previously been described as “exceptional” (cited by Bri News) by Bayern Munich director Christoph Frond, but it is certain that he has been highly regarded in Europe for a long time.
The 22-year-old can play widely as a midfielder in central offensive, so there should be plenty of space for him to influence Enzo Maresca’s side.
Simons provided 14 goals and 11 assists in all club and country competitions last season. If he can replicate that in the Premier League, he will definitely be off as a great addition.
