Pickett reportedly emerged as a topic of disagreement amid alleged tensions between Malone and Booth over the construction of the Denver roster and the long-term direction.
According to Athletic, Booth has a strong tendency to give younger players more time than Denver’s veterans, and was furious when Malone supported Russell Westbrook in place of Pickett in the past few weeks.
